About Us

This is Floki, my van. Suffice to say, 2016–2020 had some ups and a disproportionate number of downs, one of which was falling off the property ladder. Floki is my house when I'm not living in yours — and you're now part of my plan to get back on that ladder.

This is my son. He attends most of the house sits with me, and he's the primary reason I do this full time. He's very much like his Dad — pretty chill, and a little too obsessed with his computer — and because he attends pretty much every sit, he's become pretty good with pets. My son is also home-educated, which is its own challenge!

I think the technical term for me is a "digital nomad" — I write software and build websites (like this one) as a job, which I can do anywhere, whether that's at your house or on the side of a road in the New Forest in my van. It's a weird path that I walk, but it has its beautiful moments: I get to see new places, make new furry friends, and because of my low outgoings and home educating, I get to spend a lot of time with my son.

So, that's my story. If you've booked us before, you've already helped us towards our goal — for that, we are very grateful. We do our best to take that gratitude and pour it into how we treat your house and pets while you're away, so that you're free to enjoy your holidays in peace. We've got this.
